Many of you have asked to see what I am working on, so I decided to turn my blog into a place where I could share with you my current journey into mixed media art.  I have been busy acquiring new skills, reacquainting myself with old ones, experimenting with different techniques and actually creating some pieces.  It has been an extremely exciting and joyful time for me.

Here are some of the pieces I've completed ...

This first piece was created with acrylic paint and the collaging of a variety of specialty art papers.  The flowers, flower pot, stems and some of the leaves were created with these specialty papers; the background, table, and some of the leaves were created with acrylic paint.

This second piece was collaged with acrylic paint, various decorative papers, and both real and painted leaves.

This floral is part of my experimentation with impressionistic painting. I used acrylic paints.

This next piece is a landscape which I collaged with lots of pieces of papers that I painted/printed on a gelli plate and and then cut up into different shaped pieces to represent the mountains, greenery and flowers. Only the sky was not collaged; it was painted with acrylic paint.

This abstract landscape was created with acrylic paint and a textured stucco medium.

And this abstract piece was created with acrylic paint, palette knives and varied textured mediums.

I'm currently working on a number of other pieces and will update this blog periodically.

Miss you all! ðŸ’–

Love and a huge hug,
Audrey
